REPower Map
TEC-KNUST and REpowermap – An interactive online map for promoting renewable energy and energy efficiency in Ghana.
As part of the mission of The Energy Center (TEC), KNUST to (inter alia) actively contribute towards the replication and scaling up of successful and sustainable energy technologies, policies and management practices, this interactive online map is developed to show concrete examples of renewable energy (RE) and energy efficiency (EE) technologies in Ghana.
The aim of this project is to promote renewable energy and energy efficiency by raising awareness and facilitating information exchange. It is expected that the examples of renewable energy and energy efficiency shown on this map will encourage organizations and individuals to give consideration to these technologies in meeting their energy needs.
Furthermore, the project promotes know-how exchange and the spread of innovative technologies at local level and across borders.
This project is implemented in partnership with Association repowermap.org. It is supported by the ECOWAS Center for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (ECREEE) under the ECOWAS Renewable Energy Facility (EREF) and is carried out in cooperation with the ECOWAS Renewable Energy Observatory ECOWREX. Further geospatial information for West Africa can be found On ECOWREX.
Additional support is provided by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (Direction du développement et de la cooperation, DDC).

Have you installed any renewable systems yourself? Add your example to the map to make it visible and inspire others to take action as well. Each example is important!
